Animal Vegetable Miracle” by Barbara Kingsolver, I learned that there is more that we can do to help out in our communities. My family always grows a garden but nothing nearly big enough to feed as for an entire year unless we were only eating tomatoes because they grow like wild flowers and always have enough to go around! It would be pretty neat to try the eating local for a year plan, just to see if you would save money or feel better about yourself for helping out your own community though. Overall “Animal Vegetable Miracle” was not my favorite of books but it had many great ideas and recipes in it and I would definitely see if any of Kingsolver’s books were better, dragging on about things like asparagus just didn’t and couldn’t pull me into the book.
